MobyX is committed to ensuring the security and protection of the personal information that we process, and to provide a compliant and consistent approach to data protection. We have a robust and effective data protection program in place which complies with existing law and abides by the data protection principles of the GDPR.

  • Lawfulness, fairness, and transparency: We process personal data lawfully, fairly and in a transparent manner in relation to the data subject.
  • Purpose limitation: We collect personal data for specified, explicit and legitimate purposes and do not process it further in a manner that is incompatible with those purposes.
  • Data minimization: We ensure that personal data is adequate, relevant and limited to what is necessary in relation to the purposes for which it is processed.
  • Accuracy: We take every reasonable step to update or remove data that is inaccurate or incomplete. Individuals have the right to request that we erase or rectify erroneous data that relates to them, and we respect this right.
  • Storage limitation: We keep personal data for no longer than is necessary for the purposes for which the personal data is processed.
  • Integrity and confidentiality: We ensure appropriate security of the data we process, including protection against unauthorised or unlawful processing and against accidental loss, destruction or damage, using appropriate technical or organisational measures.
  • Accountability: We accept responsibility for, and can demonstrate compliance with, the GDPR principles.

9. Location Anonymity and Data Protection

At MobyX, we understand the sensitive nature of location data and are committed to maintaining the anonymity of such data. We employ a variety of techniques and algorithms to ensure location anonymity:

  • Data Aggregation: We aggregate location data to a level where individual movements cannot be identified. This means that we only analyze and store data in a way that shows general trends rather than specific routes.
  • Geographic Masking: We use geographic masking techniques to add a level of uncertainty to the exact location data. This involves slightly altering the coordinates of a location in a way that is statistically unlikely to impact the overall data analysis but ensures the exact location cannot be determined.
  • Pseudonymization: We use pseudonymization to replace identifying fields within the data records. This means that the data can no longer be attributed to a specific data subject without the use of additional information.
  • Data Minimization: We only collect and process the minimum amount of location data necessary for our services. This reduces the potential for personal identification.

Secure Data Storage and Transmission:

All location data is stored and transmitted securely using encryption to protect against unauthorized access.

Please note that while we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal data, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
