MobiNexus has officially started, bringing partners together in Coventry to strengthen collaboration between academia and industry for climate-neutral, sustainable and digitally enabled urban innovation.

The MobiNexus project aims to bridge the gap between academia and industry, catalysing innovation around climate-neutral cities, sustainable mobility, electrification, automation and digitalisation. The project aligns with the European Green Deal and the Sustainable and Smart Mobility Strategy to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the transport sector by 90% by 2050.

By leveraging the Mobility Innovation Network (MIN) platform, MobiNexus seeks to integrate educational institutions with industry stakeholders, fostering collaboration and driving forward the development of sustainable mobility solutions. Key activities include the creation of innovation hubs, the use of AI-driven matchmaking for industry-academia partnerships, and the deployment of immersive workshops.

Furthermore, the project emphasizes skill development through its User-Centric Entrepreneurship Academy, offering cutting-edge training in green, digital, and entrepreneurial areas, ensuring that the European transport sector remains competitive and environmentally sustainable.

Ultimately, MobiNexus fosters interconnected innovation ecosystems across Europe, improving collaboration, skills, innovation capacity and market readiness for sustainable urban transformation.

For MobyX, MobiNexus reflects a broader mission: connecting research, technology, stakeholders and real-world experimentation to help cities and organisations design more sustainable and inclusive futures.
